Is it worth it? Beauty Blender

Can we firstly take a moment...... 1 year today I started blogging happy anniversary blog!!
The beauty blender... it took me a while to buy this only because it's £16.00 for a sponge!!!! Well my thoughts have changed and I would repurchase this 'sponge' in a heart beat (big statement!).

How it works:

The beauty blender's feature is that is an open cell structure that fills with small amounts of water when it gets wet, which then allows the sponge to expand and become full, this is how makeup sits on top of the sponge rather than being absorbed, which allows you to use less product.
Before- original size

After soaked

When the beauty blender gets wet it doubles in size and becomes even softer, it returns to it's original size when it air dries.  It works by gently bouncing the beauty blender with the product on onto your skin.

The beauty blender has a pointed side which can be used for hard to reach spots i.e around the nose and under the eyes.

This sponge can be used with nearly most complexion products such as primers, foundation, powders and cream blushes.

How to clean it
Clean your beauty blender after every use using the beauty blender solid soap as I find that works the best. I bought mine from Space Nk and it came with a free (decent size) sample size of the solid soap, I highly recommend that.

Benefits:

  • Unique Shape
  • Bouncy
  • Expands in size
  • Light
  • Airy
  • Doesn't absorb as much product
  • Cruelty free
  • Latex free
  • Streak free application
  • Can be used with primers, foundation, powders, cream blushes and any other complexion product.
Any others to the collection?
I have the original beauty blender the pink one but there are loads more to the collection such as beauty blender liner, beauty blush, micro mini correct, beauty blender nude, blotterazzi, body blender. They range from £14.00 to £23.00. The next on my list is the micro mini correct set which comes with 4 small mini beauty blenders used for different spots on your face and that retails for £23.00

Where to buy?
You can purchase the beauty blender from Space nk, Selfridges, John lewis and now even BOOTS!!!!!.

If you are on the fence about buying the beauty blender then don't be take the plunge and go for it, it changes the way your makeup especially foundation looks on the skin, it makes your base look flawless.

Have you tried the beauty blender? What are your thoughts?

If you would like me to do a comparison of different beauty sponges then let me know!

Until next time
