Makeup For The Day Of Love *

Happy Friday everyone today I thought I would do a makeup look seeing as Valentines is only around the corner.

The look I decided to go with was full coverage base with a gorgeous foiled pink eye and plumped glossy lip. If you want to see how I got the look then follow the steps below:

Steps:

  1. Firstly to get a good base you need to apply your skincare, make sure your skin is super hydrated so the full coverage base doesn't look dry.
  2. After I did my skincare I applied my Milani 2 in 1 foundation all over my face, using a Tarte Kabuki brush. This foundation is so full coverage that I didn't feel the need for concealer but you can add concealer if you want to.  (review here)
  3. I then needed to add some definition back into my face so I brought out the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and glow contour palette, I use two brushes with this palette firstly the Nars ita brush to really get into the hallows of my cheeks then a Real Techniques Contour brush to blend around the face. (review here)
  4. I didn't want anything dramatic for blusher but still wanted something there so went for my trusty Hourglass Mood exposure blush, which is what I reach for when I don't want an intense blush. (review here)
  5. Moving onto highlighter I had 2 options either Becca Champagne pop or Laura Gellar gilded honey, but because the gilded honey one is new I decided to go with that one! This highlighter deserves all the hype (review coming soon) The brush I applied the highlighter with was a Tarte brush from their Holiday collection last year.
  6. Moving onto eyes and eyebrows: For eyebrows I used the trusty Anastasia dip brow pomade using the Nanshy detail angle brush, perfect duo (review here)
  7. For my crease shade I used Colourpop eyeshadow in the shade Brady which is a gorgeous mauve pink colour and the brush I used was another trust Nanshy blending brush.
  8. Then to pack some colour on I used Makeup Geek Foiled eyeshadow in Nostalgic, this eyeshadow just catches the light perfectly and the brush I used for this was a Real Techniques one.
  9. Mascara I used the fabulous Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara (review here), you don't even need to curl your eyelashes when using this mascara!
  10. Then lastly for lips I used the Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss which just makes the lips lovely a plumped but actually adds a perfect your lips but better colour.

There you have it a very easy makeup look but one that is still Valentines Day appropriate.
