Blogmas Day 2: Botanics Hydrating Eye Cream

Blogmas Day 2! I have seriously dry patches around my eyes and it makes apply concealer a real pain, so eye cream is an essential to me and it's only recently this year that I have taken moisturising around the eye area serious and now have a serious love affair with eye creams.

The list of eye creams I have to try is endless from low price points to high points but of course being a student i'm going to start at the bottom so today i'm reviewing Botanics hydrating eye cream, it doesn't promise to reduce fine lines or dark circles all it promises to do is hydrate the eye area which is what I want in an eye cream so let's stop rambling and get on with the review.

What does it claim/ say it does?
  • Nourishing cream that gently softens and smoothes the delicate eye area
  • Instantly hydrates and helps to reduce the appearance of find lines which reveals more radiant skin
  • Riches with omega oils which helps to improve the suppleness and keep the skin beautiful and healthy looking

Packaging & Price:
It comes in a white tube with black and green writing, perfect for travelling. From a price point of view it costs £9.99 for some people that might be a little bit steep but it is actually quite cheap compared to other eye creams on the market. Also botanics always have offers on either 3 for 2 or buy 1 get 1 half price. You can purchase botanics at boots.

How to use it?
I use this eye cream morning and night, I cleanse my skin tone then apply my eye cream then carry on with the rest of my skincare

Who is it suitable for?
I would say this eye cream is suitable for all skin types.

Formula:
Its a thick white creamy formula but really in consistency  is thin and once tapped into the skin not even noticeable, it is a great base for everything else you apply next.

Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Glycerin*, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond) oil*, Olea europaea (Olive) fruit oil*, Butyrospermum parkii (shea) butter*, Rosa canina seed oil*, Cetearyl glucoside, Cera alba (Beeswax)*, Glyceryl stearate, Cetearyl alcohol, Alcohol denat.*, Xanthan gum, Sodium benzoate, Potassium sorbate, Citric acid
* Ingredients certified as organic by the Soil Association for use in cosmetic products

My overall opinion:
Overall a very good eye cream that does everything it says it does, it's very hydrating and a small amount goes a long way. It's a great base for makeup as it makes the eye area look very smoothed. Would highly recommend and would repurchase in the future

  1. After stating my new job I have to get up really really early which means I've got bags under my eyes for the first time ever. I also get really dry skin this time of year too so this post was really helpful ^_^
