Mask Monday: Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask

Back with another mask Monday as my first one went down like a storm! ( read here

)
Today's is from the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel range and here are my thoughts!

What does it claim ?
Face mask applied
According to Boots website this is what it claims to do: 'This Peel Off Face Mask contains antibacterial Tea Tree Oil and skin calming Witch Hazel to help keep your skin clear and healthy by:
  • Grabbing dirt and lifting it out of your pores
  • Helping to remove blackheads
  • Helping to tighten pores and prevent future breakouts'

From that description it sounds right up my street.

Price
£2.99 for 50ml

Packaging
The product comes in a clear plastic tube.

Ingredients
After face mask
Aqua (Water), Polyvinyl alcohol, Butylene glycol, PVP, PEG-90, Polysorbate 20, PPG-5-ceteth-20, Alcohol, Hamamelis virginiana (Witch hazel) distillate, Carbomer, Methylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea tree) leaf oil, Allantoin, Sodium benzoate, Parfum (Fragrance), Potassium hydroxide, Hexyl cinnamal, Limonene, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, Linalool, CI 61570 (Green 5), CI 19140 (Yellow 5)
Formula
The formula is a gel form, it has the obvious tea tree smell, when applying it does feel sticky but when you remove the mask there is no stick residue left.

How to use?
The way I use this mask is once a week, apply all over the face, leave for 10-15 minutes, then remove. You can tell when the face mask is ready because the edges started to flake and look ready to peel.

My overall opinion
Overall you can't go wrong with this mask, it is at a good price, easy to get hold off, there is no sticky residue after, for me it seemed like it removed the dead skin cells which gave my skin a lovely glow. My only complaint about this mask is that you do have to wait a long time for it to dry, I know 10 to 15 minutes might not be a long time to wait for some people but for others it might, just something to bare in mind. I think personally this would be a great face mask for teenagers as it has ingredients which can help fight the teenager acne but also on a great budget!

Thank you for reading!
