London Break

In last week's post you saw what I bought in London today, i'll be sharing what I got up to in London.

The main reason we went down was because it was Paul's 21st birthday that week and we just wanted a little break to celebrate it. We went down on Thursday 3rd November and came back on Sunday

We got the ten to 12 train down to London on Thursday, arrived in London about ten past 2 and by 3 o clock I was already shopping! That afternoon we just took a small walk round until heading back to the hotel to get ready for that evening meal. We went to a beautiful restaurant called Sketch we were in the gallery side where it was very retro with pink bucket seats and pods for toilets ( surely you must of seen it on instagram? , it was lovely for my main I had pearl barley with mussels and for dessert macaroons and of course had plenty of cocktails!

Friday we woke up early as Paul's mum was coming down to spend the day with us, off we went to pick her up from Euston we then went to the British museum before heading to Harrods where we spent about 2 hours getting lost! That evening went for food at Bob Bob Ricard ( famously known for the champagne button!) it was fabulous! Of course we had champagne, and for main I had humble pie which was basically artichokes and mushrooms in a white wine sauce and for dessert I had truffles, brilliant food highly recommend! After the meal we went to see a show I love musicals! We went to see The Bodyguard which has been on my list to see for ages now and it was bloody amazing , such a fun show.

Saturday was a full morning of shopping, we went to Selfridges, Liberty's, Fortnum and Mason, and basically just walked round Regent Street, Oxford Street, Bond Street and Piccadilly Circus. After the shopping morning we headed to St James park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Downing Street and then Covent Garden ( I love covent garden). For that evening we went to a restaurant called Tredwells, Paul loved it because he ordered the right dish unfortuantley for me I didn't but the restaurant itself was lovely.

Then it was Sunday we had a little lie in, packed then headed around London to pick up little bits that we wanted before heading to Burger and Lobster, which OMG who ever created that restaurant is a smart! Then it was time for home.

There you have it my London trip!

Thank you for reading!
