Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick & Hydra Matte Review/ Swatches

Well happy Sunday my lovelies, this week has been a long week as I haven't been well but I was determined to get this post up. As you can tell from the title it is a review and swatch post of the Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks and hydra matte liquid lipsticks.
Beauty Bay sent me an email about 2 weeks ago now saying it was buy one get one half price so of course I was going to buy them.

Starting with the lipstick I picked up, they don't claim to be matte, moisturising nothing just your standard basic lipstick which I like because it means you don't have as high expectations when they claim to be something. They come in this gorgeous gold bullet packaging with black writing, feels very luxe for the price. Moving onto price these lipsticks cost £10.50 and can be purchased on Beauty Bay, I would say for price it's classed as higher high street e.g L'oreal. They are 100% cruelty free!
They have a wide range of colours, there is something for everyone. Moving onto the colour I purchased and that is Rodeo Drive, which for me is my lips but better colour, it dusty rose pink colour with what looks like brown undertones. They are very moisturising but look semi matte on the lips, it wears well throughout the day and doesn't look patchy.

Moving onto Hydra Matte which is their version of a liquid lipstick, obviously if you didn't guess from the name they do claim to be hydrating but still being matte. It comes in a tiny frosted tube, with the iconic gold lid with black writing, to me the packaging on this does feel a tiny bit on the cheap side, the applicator is also tiny which is good so you can get precise application. The price again is £10.50, so a little on the pricey side for how much you get, the NYX lingerie liquid lipstick are £6.50 are you get more product. Also with the hydra matte they have a good colour range, the colour I went for is Everything Nice which is a muted brown/orange nude, it is very pigmented and comfortable on the lips. The wear time for this is good but it does start to fade from the centre outwards.
