How to be organised for uni

Uni is about to start again so I thought it was time for another uni posts and this time it's how to be organised for uni.

My Tips:

  1. Have a diary: Some people feel like a 'nerd' with a diary but when it comes to your grades forget what people think. You will need a diary for when important dates are given to you, for example: assignment deadlines, guest speakers and events. Having a diary will help you keep track and what to do each day.
  2. Print off lecture notes and your assignments: This one isn't for everyone but printing off lecture notes and assignments mean you can look back and read over what you need to know.
  3. Have a file: This one combines with the top one, but having a file means you can keep all of your work in one place for future reference.
  4. Write to do lists: I write lists for almost everything, but when it comes to uni I do them even more. I write lists for assignments one what to include in each assignment, I write lists for what needs to be done first.
  5. Get Enough Sleep: You can't be organised for uni without having enough sleep, get to bed at a reasonable time, so you wake up refreshed and ready for the day.
  6. Write a timetable: Create your own timetable for your actual lectures but then include study time and free time, if you work include that on your timetable.
  7. Back up your work: Trust me you will thank me for this one, back up your work because if you don't and it goes missing at least you have a copy.
  8. Breath: My last and final tip is just breathe take a deep breath because everything will be okay.
